There's no getting around it — we ALL experience periods of stress in our life.

Stress is simply your body's reaction to challenges or demands and can be positive in certain situations, like removing your self from imminent danger. In most situations, stress arises when you believe that you can't handle what's present in your life. Because your brain doesn't know the difference between real and perceived danger, this belief can put your body in a fight, flight, or freeze mode and keep it there for prolonged periods of time. Many of us aren't even aware of how much underlying stress we are living with. It's this type of stress that can cause and exacerbate multiple medical issues.
